Case study:
Fitzroy Place

Fitzroy Place is a prestigious development in central London. The primary contractor is Sir Robert McAlpine, with McGee Ltd as the enabling contractor.

The requirement:

McGee Ltd approached International Perimeter security with a requirement for a 7m wide and 2.7m high double swing gate with plywood panels in order to provide perimeter security at the Fitzroy Place construction site, further the gate needed to have a custom finish (in this case black), and a custom height requirement.

However, there was an urgent time priority, with the gates needing to be installed on site as soon as possible in order to secure the perimeter.

Our solution:

The specific requirements required by the client were outside of our normal specifications for our modular gate and fence systems. However, we were able to quickly adapt our Sitegates range of modular gates and fencing to the required parameters and manufacture these according to the required specification and finish.

The gate was delivered to the site in modular form requiring no specialised transportation or access requirements (this being typical for a Sitegates installation), and was installed on site (without the need for any specialised equipment) within three days of the order being passed to IPS. On time and within budget.

The client subsequently ordered a second set of construction site gates for the same site, which again were delivered and installed within three days.

Like all our modular gate and fencing systems, these gate installations, despite having custom measurements, are fully re-usable and re-configurable.

If the client did not have a specific custom requirement for these gates, which required custom manufacture of the components, we could have delivered and installed these gates within a much shorter time period – really demonstrating the value of our modular gate and fencing system.
